 Creel Chihuahua is located 650Km south of El Paso ,Texas. A seven hour drive from where you’ll cross the plain desert of Arena de Samalayuca, sceneries with cactus and rock rose… To finally arrive deep in the Sierra Madre Oriental, where you will find buried the Taraumara mountain range.

 From El Paso you can take any customs entry or international bridge entering Mexico, just drive south. Then reach I-45 Carretera Panamericana (which goes through Cd. Juarez and all Latin America finally ending in Patagonia, Chile.) keep driving 120km south arriving at Villahumada, typical rest area and meeting spot where you can eat the traditional Asadero burritos. 240km keeping south lays Cd. Chihuahua, entering Chihuahua take right to the outlying “Periferico de la Juventud”, you’ll drive the east side of the city entire length north to south a total of 22km. Continuing the same directions from Cd. Cuahtemoc to Cd Parral and Sierra Tarahumara because the diferent signs take you to route 16 to Cuauhtemoc.


 After exiting Chihuahua City drive 110km through Freeway 16 to arrive at Cuauhtemoc (you’ll pass across a unique town of the region called Santa Isabel, officially named General Trias). When leaving behind Cuauhtemoc on Ave. Independencia exit west, 3km approximately off this city there’s the famous Menonita fieldsthen drive only 10Km further to find another rest area/meeting spot named “Casa Colorada” filled with food and camping accessories. 47km more southbound there’s Cd. La junta (This way is partially highway).

 When you are at the end of Route 16 being in Cd. La Junta take a left, 16km after, turn right on Route 127 (This crossroad is called “El Entronque de San Pedro”) from here go on 60km to San Juanito, you’ll cross almost entirely the avenue until turning right again near the end where a sign will show you the way to Creel 30km from San Jacinto. At the Creel entrance following the sign “Creel Centro” simply go along the paved street, just beyond the first speed bump exit left to find 20 meters later the cabins Claro de Luna with its yellow colored, wood constructed high visible lofts.
